New Perspective...

A new perspective...
In July, as the rhododendrons bloom, we see beautiful blurs
of pink and green forests, driving along the Blue Ridge
Parkway. The winds and rains have loosed their petals to
gently fall, and it is delightful to see them floating on the
waters of Julian Price Lake. But, seeing them a new way has
been even more lovely to me this year... stopping to look
carefully within at their delicate beauty. There is something
fragile, yet resiliant there, deep inside this evergreen's flower.
It is comforting to me knowing that year after year, they will stand,
grow, and reappear.

Song of Songs 2:12- The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of singing [of birds] has come, and the voice of
the turtledove is heard in our land.
